国际生物技术大会（IBS）由国际纯粹与应用化学联合会（IUPAC）于1960年发起，每四年一届在各大洲轮流举办，迄今为止已经成功举办了12届，是目前世界范围内规模最大、学术水平最高、社会影响最强的生物技术大会，堪称生物技术领域的国际奥林匹克。本届IBS将有近3000名来自不同国家和地区的学者及社会各界人士参与，为增进生物技术领域的国际交流提供良好的平台。
